2. Products

  • All candles are handcrafted in small batches. As a result, slight variations in colour, scent, size, and appearance may occur and are not considered defects.

  • Product descriptions, images, and pricing are provided as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary due to screen settings and photography.

  • We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or limit quantities of any product at any time without prior notice.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices may change at any time without notice.

  • Payment must be made in full before orders are processed.

  • We use secure third-party payment gateways. We do not store your card or payment details.

4. Orders and Acceptance

  • An order is only considered accepted once payment has been received and you receive an order confirmation.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, stock availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud.

  • If an order is cancelled after payment, a full refund will be issued.

5. Production and Processing Time

  • As our products are handmade, processing times may vary.

  • Estimated production or dispatch times will be communicated at checkout or via order confirmation.

  • Delays due to high demand, supplier issues, or circumstances beyond our control will be communicated where possible.

6. Delivery and Shipping

  • We deliver within South Africa unless otherwise stated.

  • Delivery times provided are estimates and not guaranteed.

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the order has been handed over to the courier.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by courier companies, incorrect delivery details provided by the customer, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

We aim to comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.

7.1 Defective or Damaged Products

  • If you receive a defective or damaged item, please notify us within 7 days of delivery.

  • We may request photographs or additional information.

  • Eligible claims may result in a replacement, repair, or refund at our discretion.

7.2 Change of Mind

  • Due to the nature of our products, change-of-mind returns may not be accepted once the product has been used or opened.

  • Unused, unopened products may be returned within 7 days of delivery, subject to inspection.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective.

8. Candle Safety Disclaimer

  • Candles should be used responsibly and in accordance with standard candle safety guidelines.

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, and drafts.

  • Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

ABF Candles shall not be liable for damage, injury, or loss resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety instructions.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website, including text, images, logos, branding, and product designs, is the intellectual property of ABF Candles unless otherwise stated.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, ABF Candles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the product.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act.

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal information in accordance with POPIA.

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, supplier failures, or courier disruptions.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
